Shared Apprenticeships is an Apprentice Agency helping to create careers in construction for young people by employing them as apprentices and finding them college and a series of industry work placements for their apprenticeship. Most of our employees are construction apprentices aged 18-21 who are working in one of the trades, or as a trainee site manager, and based on a large construction site near to where they live. We provide continuous employment, insurance, PPE, a named Mentor to support and guide them, and additional training (e.g. soft skills). We also work with the college assessors and site managers to help steer our apprentices through to successful completion of their apprenticeship, followed by progression to either a higher apprenticeship or full-time employment with one of their work placement contractors! We are all proud to be making a difference for young people, local communities and for the construction industry across the region.
