The R66T Academy

The R66T Academy

The R66T Academy was established in 2018 to provide cricket coaching for young cricketers all over the world. It is a not-for-profit organisation founded by Matt Root. Matt has two sons who play professional cricket. Billy is a left-handed batsman and off-break bowler currently contracted to Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Joe is a right-handed batsman and off-spinner, currently captain of the England Test team. In August 2015 Joe became #1 batsman in the ICC world Test rankings. Both Joe and Billy are keen to be involved in and associated with the Academy. Coaching is delivered via social media and a high-performance program which comprises camps tours and residential courses for cricketers of all abilities. According to Matt Root, “'Cricket has been in my family for years. We have had so much out of the game over the years. It's time to put something back!” The website is
