Heartwood Skills CIC

Heartwood Skills CIC

We work closely in partnership with local schools in the Northeast of England to reduce exclusion, truancy, anti-social behaviour and pupils at risk of disengaging from education. Our philosophy is to leave no child behind. Working on a 1 to 1 basis or group learning, our programmes are fully inclusive and catered for each pupil. We offer a range of alternative education programmes from 1 to 1 mentoring, group mentoring to group lessons in and out of the classroom. Children can have many barriers to learning and our objective is to reduce these as much as possible. Sometimes the school environment is not the barrier so we take this opportunity to enrich a child’s education and work on more sensitive issues such as their home life. Our qualified specialists come from teaching, youth work, counselling, behaviour, and SEN backgrounds and offer a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
