EdShift CIC

Profile

At EdShift, we bring quality drama-based violence prevention programmes & digital resources to children and young people age 7-16. Our core programme of work, ACT OUT/ SPEAK UP, aims to prevent domestic abuse by equipping a rising generation with alternatives to using violence in relationships. We recognise the arts as a powerful vehicle to drive individual and social change and ensure broad access across a range of geographical areas, by positioning ourselves in local schools and early intervention hubs that support the most vulnerable children in our community. In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our outreach to mitigate the impact on children living in violent homes, through our SpotLight intervention. SpotLight’s objective is to provide vital 1:1 support to children immediately after a domestic violence incident, to validate their difficult experiences and reassure them that they are not alone and not to blame.
