CEDAR, which stands for Community Education in Death Awareness & Resources, delivers workshops and events that focus on death education. We teach people how to talk about death in healthy and appropriate ways among their peer groups, with young people, to those in health and social care, and with family members or loved ones who have experienced bereavement and loss. Our classes have been highly rated, with a unique focus on ways to use the language of time to help those who are bereaved. We deliver full-day workshops, short classes, special events, death cafes, bespoke training and community awareness days/talks to businesses and public sector providers, as well as the general public. Our Life Lessons programmes are developed especially for young people, with a focus on peer-to-peer mentoring. These are taught both in and out of schools. We are currently developing learning packs for secondary schools.
