African Activities CIC

African Activities CIC

Profile

African Activities works with outstanding African and Caribbean artists across a range of art forms delivering workshops that challenge perceptions of Black culture and that celebrate the many dimensions of Black heritage. African Activities works hard to redress an imbalance that we, as Africans, perceive in the west. We simply do not recognise the one dimensional view of the rich and diverse continent that we derive from! African Activities provides well paid employment for African arts practitioners, advocating for and promoting the artists and the art forms. African Activities provides opportunities for the public to engage in outstanding African Arts experiences and to gain the health and wellbeing benefits of being activity engaged. African Activities supports and encourages African arts practitioners in West Africa with funding and advocacy.
