Suspension Theatre

Suspension Theatre

Suspension Theatre creates performances and theatrical opportunities with and for homeless people. We are developing a performance to be performed in Bristol (June / July 2020) and Edinburgh (August 2020) which aims to increase public empathy with the issues surrounding homelessness, and a call to action to engage more fully with homeless and socially excluded people. We want our audiences to understand that homeless people are just the same as them, and that we all have a part to play in improving our community. We are researching, developing and delivering drama workshops for homeless people, helping to increase their confidence, self-esteem and team working skills, as well as employability skills and connectedness to society and the community in which they live. Our future plans include having homeless people as members of our CIC, and offering training for socially isolated people in drama facilitation.
