Guggleton Farm Arts CIC

Guggleton Farm Arts, aka The Gugg, is a not-for-profit Community-Interest-Company that proactively seeks to provide many forms of art, to anyone in the local community, and beyond; in a supportive, non-judgemental and safe environment, to enhance the wellbeing and abilities of all involved. It is our wish to provide an opportunity for anyone, who so wishes, to become involved in a creative pursuit in order to foster new work, artists and skills, both amateur and professional. This brings many benefits, not least increasing amenity and boosting mental health. These pursuits, in other settings, may well be beyond the purse of many that most need them and so, alongside our paid for classes, we offer a means tested service that allows for full inclusion. As an artist and artisan led initiative we are interested in new ways of working in a social context, supporting other forms of social enterprise, collaborating with and creating new, community groups. On site we have several, remarkably affordable, artist studios for rent with organisational, curatorial and critical support, available to local artists. We have in the past worked closely with local schools and young artists and plan to do so again post pandemic, helping to develop the next generation of artists and socially engaged community members. This we also do through our developing Guggleheads program and our Crafty Cupboard which we have made available to the local young people throughout recent lockdown periods.
