Brick Project CIC

Brick Project CIC

Profile

Brick Project CIC deliver inclusive social cohesion projects that bring communities together through the process of creating art. In a Brick Project, individuals can paint a brick or domino with a design of their choice – the result is a permanent mural that is more than the sum of its parts. Everyone is given an individual voice while acknowledging their neighbours and co-citizens. Each project involves a lot of outreach to local care homes and community groups to maximise accessibility and representation. Using a tablet we document each brick and document the name of the artist and the title of their brick, which is shown when the image is rolled over on our website. Each new project stimulates interest in our CIC resulting in future workshop and project bookings. All excess capital from these private projects is used to fund new projects in areas with less access to creative opportunities.
