Lofty Heights CIC established in 2012 provides vulnerable people with practical help around the home and garden, including decluttering, cleaning, sensitive house clearance, garden clearance and moving furniture to create space in the home for hospital beds and mobility aides to be installed so that care can continue on the home. We create training, work expereince and paid employment for young adults and are very keen to provide opportunties to NEETS, Young Carers and Care Leavers in particular. Our social aims include - Improving the future life chances a vulnerable young adults - Improving the home environment of vulnerable people to improve their quality of life, physical and mental health, reduce risk of eviction and homelessness - reducing delayed hospital discharges because the condition of the home is unhygeinic or cluttered, enabling care to continue at home for longer. Our social Impact is significant -Through real paid employment we build confidence and self-esteem, raise aspirations and improve the future life chances of young people. - We are proud about being recognised in Suffolk as ‘second to none’ for the sensitive and supportive way that we work with vulnerable people.
